A comment by Annamaria Pedroni for ILO – International Law Office, on the recent decision issued by the Labor Court of Rome (26 February 2021) which has deemed the ban on individual dismissals due to the COVID-19 pandemic applicable also to executives. The comment is recalling the Italian legal framework for individual dismissals for objective reasons and for executive’s termination to show how the Court of Rome’s decision appears inconsistent with the legislation.
